Osaka Castle

from $30.00

One of Japan’s most famous landmarks is the Osaka Castle. Originally completed in 1597, the castle had been destroyed and restored multiple times over the centuries since. Mainly due to war, but a few times due to fires. The most recent restoration of the castle was completed in 1997, this time with concrete, I imagine with the hopes that it doesn’t catch on fire anymore. The interior is now a modern museum that’s open to the public where you can learn all about the history of the castle and its role in Japanese history.
